Hat Yai Klonghae Floating Market was established in December 2008 and opens on Friday to Sunday from 3:00 to 9:00pm Thailand time. It has since become a hot spot for locals as well as tourists to find delicious food to eat. Boat traders sell a great varieties of choices from grilled fish to noodle kwuai teoh soup to bamboo rice to various iced drinks and to many to be named.

Klonghae Floating Market. For travellers, it is strongly suggested a duk-duk car be the best choice even though you guys may have driven your own car, but because the area surrounding Klonghae Floating Market during the opening days are always jammed, it’s not easy to find a parking lot. A return-trip by duk-duk costs about 400Baht from downtown Hatyai to the market, though the price is not so cheap, the driver is willing to wait you for two hours or longer. For group tourists leading by a traveling agency, the tourism bus will bring you there, but you need to walk a bit as it parks at the outer area of the market.

2. Hat Yai Municipal Park

Hat Yai Municipal Park
Hat Yai Municipal Park is located on Kanchanawanit Road.  I am still remember that the park has  a huge 20 or so meter Buddha, standing hundreds of meters above the park. Many people are use motorbike to there. The park is beautifully decorated with the colourful flowers. With apavilion in the middle of the pond, an aviary, and food stalls, the park is the perfect place to spend a peaceful evening.

3. Gim Yong Market

Gim Yong market is the nearest authentic Thai street market to central Hat Yai and it is within easy walking distance of Lee Gardens Plaza.  Many of the market traders are Muslim. You will find clothes, ready cooked food, tinned and dried food, fruit, hot chestnuts, groceries, toiletries, cheap electronics, children’s toys, watches, umbrellas and household items. There is also a wet market inside. It’s a busy place that is fun to walk around. The fruit stalls outside have prices displayed and the food stalls have fixed prices but when buying anything else you should attempt to haggle. It is actually very similar to Suntisuk market but doesn’t have quite the amount of pirated movies, music and software that Suntisuk has.
 4. Ton Nga Chang Waterfall

It is located in the Ton Nga Chang Wildlife Sanctuary. It is one of the beautiful waterfalls of the south, about 26 km from the city. This waterfall has seven levels, the third level is the most beautiful and is named after the waterfall. Be aware that Thai consider the waterfall a recreation area. Whole families are travelling there on the weekend, and you'll see a lot of people having fun in the water.
